there should be a metal plate either in one of the door jams, or under the hood in the engine bay. it should have info like vin, gvwr, date of manufacture, location of manufacture, etc. Good luck. p.s. model year is usually year after manufacture date.
Here is the information I have in my T-Bird book. Hope it helps 1967 Ford Thunderbird Hardtop 7 Year 1967 Y Assembly Wixom, MI 81 Body Thunderbird 2-Door Hardtop Painted Roof Z Engine 8 Cyl. 390 CID Horsepower: 315 Carbs: 1-4BBL Compression: 10.5:1 155448 Serial 155448 History The Ford Thunderbird is a car manufactured in the United States by the Ford Motor Company. It entered production for the 1955 model year as a two-seater sporty car; unlike the superficially similar (and slightly earlier) Chevrolet Corvette, the Thunderbird was never sold as a full-blown sports car. Ford described it as a personal luxury car, a description which named a new market segment. In 1958, the Thunderbird gained a second row of seats for greater practicality. Succeeding generations became larger and more luxurious, until the line was downsized in 1977 and again in 1980.

Providing no-one has replaced any of the parts, If there is a Bird in center of grille and a string of tail-lights across rear its a 67, If there is a Bird and 2 seperate lights across rear, its a 69. If there is no bird in center grille, but 2 plastic ones on flipper headlight doors and a string of taillights across the back, its a 68. The 67 console is molded into the dash where-as the 68 and 69 kind of slide under the dash. This is only if there isn't a tag on the drivers door. The actual VIN # is usually closer to the passengers side on bottom of windshield and is hard as #$% to see and if you try to get it out you may break windshield as its at the edge. There are other ways to figure it out but thats a good start
