Bovan,Thank you for reply.I am having trouble decodeing last 2 lines in cowl tag + I am unable to find production qty's.Vin#164395L201935/last 2 lines of cowel tag,(1)EXY 2KSR    3C (2)5W.If you can be of any help in this mater or can point me in the proper diriction I will be forever greatfull.Thank you again for your time. Hi Grego ... Here's a site that decodes your cars VIN: http://www.yearone.com/updatedsinglepages/Id_info/Impala/fullszvinplts.html ... You car was the 201,935th car Impala built that year, in LA. The Caprice in that year was a trim package for the Impala and came in 6 and 8 cylinder models, costing $2,885 and $2,991 respectively. It wouldn't become a separate model until 1966. There were 803,400 Impala's built in 1965 but only 56,600 6 cylinder models. Unfortunately I couldn't run down production numbers for the Caprice trim package separately. Hope this helps!
