Ok my trucks tranmission stays on first gear n the mph and rpm stopped working the trucks a 97 chevy two wheel drive what can be wrong

did they both stop at the same time or one before the other

Do you know what it might be it was working fine this morning then I was working bout two hrs and started going without any force n stays on first gear

did you check the sppedo fuse

Yea they are all fine but like the other day to it had stalled on me to idk what it can be

is it not going above or is it sticking and the going into the next try gunning it when you have toped out the gear it might just be stuck do the other gears work when you do the shifts by hand in the PRND321 on the dash in the instrument panel

Yea the other gears are working

has the trans fluid been changed since you bought the truck

The oil is normal n I dont wanna gun it cuz then wat if it messes up more

Yea changed it the other day

does it have an engine light on

is there a vacuum leak

Yea the pipes cracked like from where it connects to the headers

N the engine light is on cuz of that
