Starter wire is a little corroded

Question type: General

2013 dodge ram Hemi.
When i start it, tje car does not turn over. I
get a click. But i notice the plug from the
engine to the starter was a little rusty. I
cleaned it but it still didnt start.

Hi is your battery fully charged?? also check the braded power wire from the solenoid on top of the starter to the starter body and make sure that wire is not deteriorated should be clean and a tight brad over times these wires break down.... they can send 12volts through but no amperage that is needed to turn the engine over will want to spin but cant ...that's the reason for the click
