My 2001 Dodge is temporal
I own a 2001 Dodge 1500 Ram 5.2L truck I also as many other i have read experienced the bucking
and stalling to the point of not running at all. I parked it in my garage and began to experiment. i
checked to see if i was getting spark ,good then fuel 45 psi then air all was good but start and no run. I
hoohd up the OBCD reader: no codes and no communication to PCM (WIRE PULLED FROM OBDC)
repaired. to another reading still no codes and sensors were looping.I estimated what it would cost to
replace the basic electrical components and decided to replace TPS, IAC, CPS . keeping mind i never
done any repairs other than oil pump (yrs ago) the truck has been good to me up until now. After
replacing these component one at a time of course the truck behavior changed but still would not stay
running. So i by passed the fuel pump relay sending 12 volts to pump at my command and monitoring
fuel rail psi which at this time had dropped to 5 psi. I dropped tank and replaced fuel pump
assembly, added gas and primed and she started right up and ran for 5 minutes with a little help from
my foot but ran never the less the died and have not been able to recreate that again just cranks. i have
checked for signal voltage and ref volts and ground at all sensor and they are all within specs. I have
no codes i have spark ,fuel and air . what is going on here
