Central lock no longer working n also key in ignition cant turn in Merc c200, 1999 model.

is there a battery in your key if there is maybe you have to replace it, looks like it to me maybe a battery will cure both problems

I replaced the key battery,also the car battery is ok Steve,most things seems fine,just the ignition switch turn n central locking

I would call Mercedes and see if there is some procedure to reprogram the key and central locking systems, sounds to me that both problems are tied together somehow. I don't know about Mercedes but Ford has a way to program both by turning the key on and off a few times or you have to do it with a scan tool of some sorts
