Vehicles battery most likely to low to accept a jump right away. Try jumping vehicle again with another vehicle but this time let cables stay on for a few minutes this will charge your vehicle battery then try to start. Vehicle that is doing jumping must be running. Once vehicle is running you can have alternator tested or if battery light on most likely the alternator.
