Fluid in wrong reservoir.

I was very stupid and accidentally put about a quarter cup of wiper fluid in the activated
carbon canister reservoir.  It started to overflow almost immediately.  i honestly dont
know if i did any damage, im pretty worried.  Anyone with any knowledge on this, please
let me know what i should do.  Thank you in advance.

The carbon canister does not have a reservoir under the hood of the vehicle. can you describe the reservoir? What color cap?. Maybe it was the coolant reservoir.
