buying a car out of state

Question type: Shopping & Pricing

I'm interested in buying a car in Texas and shipping to NC.  I've had a PPI and
I can arrange financing through my bank.  I assume I'll provide a cashiers
check.  However, I have concerns about transferring funds, transferring title
and shipping the car.  Can you walk me through the process and ensure it
goes smoothly?  Do you offer some guarantee that I'm not left in a mess with
the paperwork?  I'm looking for guidance in getting the title notarized and
ensuring that all paperwork is completed properly so that the car can be
shipped by the seller to me.  I will pay for shipping.

Work it out with the seller. You may want to hire a car escrow service and an inspection service.
