Question type: General

Why does CarGurus NOT report car damage to a vehicle when other sites do report damage to the same vehicle.  Have found several instances of inconsistencies between CarGurus and CarFax

You don't really know which one is right do you? CG's does not rate cars, they use AutoCheck.

My point is I found several instances where a vehicle's CarFax report showed damage occurred but CarGurus showed nothing. I don't care who CarGurus use to show A vehicle's damage report, but show something a potential buyer can use to access the car's worth. If the information isn't available on CarGurus - without having to pay for the information - I'll just bypass their site and look elsewhere.

2021 veloster N with damage check, didn't even show on car gurus, now the trade in value is as high as $16k for a $34k car with low mileage.
