purchasing a vehicle

Asked by Guru9DCYRJ Nov 06, 2020 at 11:46 AM

Question type: General

Hi, we are going on Sunday to look at a vehicle on Sunday.  If we choose we
would like to purchase it, what do we do since its a Sunday and banks are
closed to get a cashiers check.  We don't want to finance.  I've read that the
seller can "invite" for purchase.  Is that all we need to do?
Thanks, Liz

Work out the payment with the seller. Dealers will probably take a personal check.

Hi Liz. Take $200 cash with you. If you decide to buy the vehicle the $200 will hold the vehicle for you until the banks open on Monday. Then you can complete the transaction on Monday. Make sure you get a receipt for your $200 deposit! Hope that helps! Jim
