at 65 mph my 2011 chevrolet Silverado sounds like rocks hitting the windshield, what would cause this?

Put some duct tape around the edges of the windshield that overlap the trim next to the windshield. Take it for a drive and see if the noise is gone, if the noise is gone remove about 12 to 18 inches of tape and continue this until the noise returns. This will tell you where the noise comes from. My guess is that you have air getting under a slightly loose moulding which will make it vibrate and cause the noise.
