Electronic problem

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Good day. I have a 2005 opel corsa 1.6
classic which just had a major service after
blowing a gasket. Nothing mechanically
wrong now but now all the electronics are
screwed. The engine revs very high in idle
and dies while driving. It also backfires and
sputters. At times the engine light comes on
and then the battery light. I took it back to
the guys that serviced it the same day i got it
but they cant find the problem even after
sending it for 3 different diagnostic tests.
They have also replaces spark plugs, plug
lines, the coil, and various other electeonic
components. They mechanics think its the
computer trying to compensate for
something by adjusting the petrol intake. Its
been 2 weeks since the first service and still
no solution and i am at wits end. Have you
guys got any advice or suggestions?

Sounds like they don't have the timing right. If there is a timing belt on it they may be off with the timing marks.
