I checked my transmission fluid with the car on and on a leveled surface. The dip stick indicates it needs more fluid but when i open the cap were i pour my my fluid in it is full to the pont were i can see it. Whats wrong here and what should i do?

Not being familiar with whatever Chrysler product you have, make sure the cap you are looking at is actually for the transmission.

tenspeed is right. no vehicle has a cap for the transmission. the fluid goes in through the dipstick tube. my guess is , since chrysler uses trans fluid for power steering fluid in nine out of 10 vehicles, you are opening the power steering resivoir.
