I have a 2005 yukon Denali and the fan and stays on and causes the battery to die any known problems or fixes?

I have a 2005 Yukon Denali that has a fan that stays on after the truck is turned off and causes the
battery to go dead. Is there a known issue and fix for this problem. I see that people have replaced the
battery and the alternator for the same problem and that has not fixed the issue. any ideas?

Probably a bad coolant temperature sensor or a bad fan switch.

You need to replace the fan control module. There are 2 parts that will work for this. ACDELCO 15-80567 on line and Part # RU1321 at O-Riley auto parts stores. $99. Dealer charges over $300 to replace this. It is an easy fix that you can do yourself.

Sorry I thought that you meant your fan blower inside the car for your AC and heat.

I Have A 07’ Yukon SLT. And I been Having battery drainage problems lately.. it will be working Fine than one minute I while get back in it to drive and it will be Dead! Get a jump, it comes back on and be fine for weeks than one day it just dies again? Not sure what’s wrong? But what I did find out is that the owner before me had Speakers hooked up and the loose Wirer's are still running under my seats and in my truck the other end of the wiRers that ran to the speaker is just thier live wirers with nothing hooked to it? I have a 95 GMC Yukon. Stars and dies, repeatedly and the after about three start and dies, it starts and runs perfectly. Only does this about once or twice a month. Any ideas? 1 Answer
