this topic is really gonna depend on who you ask because you're going to get mixed opinions such as cheverolet owners saying they hate ford and ford owners saying they havent had any problems with ford. I will agree that ford has had a bad history of cars not being very realiable, but it has gotten a lot better. In my opinion dodge and chrsyler are the worst car companies. And for the record Ford recently jus had the largest recall ever made in history, they had to recall 3.6 million cars because of the cruise control being faulty and leading to fires, this is the largest recall every made in history.

I've said it before and I'll say it again... All car companies are comparable, if you want to get technical Porsche has the worst track record of sending things to the dealer broken. Yes Ford has had the biggest single recall, but that's due to the same unit being used in multiple platforms, and for a long period of time....This recall includes vehicles from 92... What does that tell you, if it took this long for it to be recognized as an issue it generally means it's not a very common problem to begin with.

I don't think it is because Ford has been the top truck/car seller for the past 100 years. But like everyone else says, there is going to be mixed opionions.

Mixed answers from everyone is right, but FACT... Ford motor company was the ONLY automotive company that did NOT need extra bail money from the government during the recession, so they must be doing something right!!

in my opinion evry car compagnie was bad at some point im nor gonna lie i LOVE ford mercury and lincoln im a fan k now every single COMPAGNY OUT THERE has a time were there cars are well bad they all had acar that did not sell ,or was too $$$ to maintain or not reliable that just my opinion take care

Or they knew about the problem from the beginning and ignored the problem in order to save more money, which would explain why the same part has been used for so long across the ford line up.

i have owned many different cars I have had great luck with most i do usually buy ford (they didn't take government money) with that being said they did have a lot of issues with the ford focus from 2012 on can not answer on the 2015 /17 focus cars
