I am baffled.  My 2000 es300 cig lighter won't work but fuses intact. I'ved tried mail order; those don't stay in and even got an original lighter off a 1999 es300. Still won't stay in when you push it down. What's funny is my GPS unit does charge as well as my phone charger. But cigarette lighter???? Any ideas????

if the cig. lighter pops right back out when you push it in,but works(gets hot) if you hold it in,the problem is inside the lighter recepticle.most likely the chargers you use have distorted the recepticle inside.

The lighter just comes right out after pushing in resulting in not getting hot. I had this problem before using the chargers because I thought it didn't work period. Thanks for your answer
