2004 CRV is riding rough and feeling like tires are flat.

Asked by Lynn Oct 30, 2015 at 11:16 PM about the 2004 Honda CR-V LX AWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

MY CRV rides rough and now has deep rumbling sound (not like muffler). It
hesitates on acceleration. Oil is going fast though not leaking and no burning
smell.  When braking there are clunking and moaning noises.  Even feel a
thud from underneath.  Tires are not bald yet it feels like they are going flat
when I turn and sometimes they squeal on a slow turn.  What is wrong?

Wow.. you have a lot of different unrelated issues there. The clunking and such is probably your trans-axle or wheel bearings. Or it could be that something is loose under there. Not an expensive fix. The burning oil... and hesitation on acceleration is something else... could be worn rings or plugs, timing off. Might just need a tune up.
