I have a 2005 Lexus gs300 with 107000 miles on it and I need a new Master Cylinder and I got a estimate for 2900 to buy a new one and install. Should I invest the money or sell the car?

that's seems outrageous to me, but for a brake cylinder....has ABS and is a Lexus... http://www.ebay.com/itm/like/261308760462?lpid=82 go to an everyday mechanic shop for an everyday price~

They tell me they can only use a "Brand new part" rather than a rebuilt part. Does that make sense?
