i have a 1985 corvette.It surges at stop lights and eventually dies unless I put in neutral.

it runs fine on the highway most of the time, it will die for no reason every so often but
restarts at once. New almost everything. Has been timed, new injectors, air/fuel sensor,
belts, exhaust, transmission, and much more. 3 different mechanics have looked at it but
no one can solve the problem. Im convinced its something easy but what? Hope you can
help.

look around the intake, clogged filter or snorkel, and clean the throttle plate w/ solvent

something "easy" on a C4? I'm afraid not- you just convinced me to give up the crazy ideas that pop into my head sometimes about how cool it would be to buy a cheap Corvette
