Rack and pinion installed with alignment???????? NEED SOME EXPERTISE

Was just told by my mechanic that my new installed rack and pinion he said he did a FULL front alignment on it too..  How do you do that without machine and lasers? Remember this is in my garage and it's on 3 jack stands. That's it.. What do you do eyeball it?????

There are a lot of people that fix car alignments in their garage. Some people use wire and tape measures while there are better ways of doing it. Check this article out, it shows the best way of aligning a car without actually using the machine (http://www.hotrod.com/how-to/chassis-suspension/hrdp-0411- wheel-alignment-guide/) He could've used any of these methods, but I would take it into a shop to get an alignment done rather than driving the car and hoping my tires don't prematurely wear out.
