2000 c 1500 4.3 surge and low power

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Replaced converter. Had two cel lights 1 for mass air flow sensor. 1 for egr.
Replaced both. Did tune up and replaced cam position sensor. No new codes but
still have same issues. What should I be looking for.

Have the fuel pressure in the EFI system checked. Do you have good even fuel flow? If the engine is in idle and in park or neutral, does the engine run good when you step on the gas? With the engine at mid speed, check to see of you have a good exhaust. Either there is a blockage possible in the air coming into or leaving the engine. Have someone read the engine codes to see if all the sensors are reading normal. It sounds like the computer is getting mixed readings and changing the fuel flow or air flow or timing.
