rough running

put in ngk TR51x spark plugs iridium under my hood it says gap is .060 these plugs were gapped at . 040 i was told to leave them gapped at .040 . should i have changed the gap to .060 ? any help would be appreciated

They say according to the type of plug there is a gap difference. One type is .060 and the other is .040. Your gap is probably not your issue. Did all you plug wire snap on tight? Did you replace plug wires too? If so are they in correct order? Could you have accidentally unplugged something while changing them.
Platinum plugs are gapped at .060 (oem). Iridium plugs are an upgrade and should be gapped at .040.
went and bought new wires according to the coil number. started up truck ran great. stopped to pick up some items truck ran rough. will be getting ac delco plugs tomorrow. i appreciate both of you people for helping will let u know how it goes. whay would be the best spark plug to use
i bought new wires according to the number on my coils what plugs do you want me to try and also on the shroud it says .060 gap what gap do i use
plugs originally were autolite app605 at .060 should i order them or get iridium and use gap of .040
put in autolite wires and ac double plainium plugs. truck ran great shut it off after a run and it ran rough. let it sit overnite started great did my erran 25 miles away started truck again ran rough no power???????
will try the sea foam today and check the fuel lines thank you
hi sorry it has been soooooo long in follow up tried a can a week of sea foam and it cleared the injectors right up you could actually feel when something went through. if anyone is having issues like i did go the sea foam route short money worth the shot tennisshoes very helpful cudos

The .060 gap gas been corrected in a bulletin to .040. The AC DELCO double platinum plugs come .045 and should not be changed, just checked before installing. https://www.youtube.com/user/How2Auto
