Engine Cuts out at .55 mph

My 2005 4.3 liter v6 cuts out at 55mph engine light
comes on and then goes out when I let up on the
gas.

Since the light comes on a trouble code is stored in the system, have your truck scanned for the Fault codes to find out why. Probably ignition or emission related.
