Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Also, I noticed when I was bleeding the brakes, when I was putting the left rear
wheel back on, even though the drum and lugnuts are tight. There is about an
inch of play which while driving down the road, when you hit a bump. You can
hear it moving (rattle)? But when you spin the wheel, there's no wheel bearing
whining noise? Please help.

Most likly its a control arm bushing or a balljoint.

if their is play in rear and bearings are good, everything is tight.ring & pinion in rearend is worn out causeing the axle to have play in it.

There is no solid axle in a 94 Thunderbird. All MN12 platform cars were independent rear, meaning the differential is fixed mounted and half shafts transfer the power to the wheels. Lots of bushings play into an issue like this, so check them all.
