can an engine and transmission from a '93 ranger be installed in an '87 ranger rolling body?

the answer would be yes but you may also have to change the computer board being a newr model it may have diffrent fuel set up and such all in how involved you want to get

it all depends on if i can get the rolling body (saw it for sale on ebay, nobody bid on it so i can always ask) and also, if i can get the money together to pay someone to do the work.

if its the 2.3l, it may be a direct swap. the v6's changed in those years. i know the fuel injector harness changed between 88 and 89
