93 FORD TAURUS

Im not sure what to do anymore!! Im gettin so frustrated, but my car will not go any faster then 35 mph when im driving it does make a low pop sound almost like a back fire but not as loud. Please help!

sounds like the exhaust is stopped up.

Low fuel pressure will do it. Starving the engine for fuel especially at WOT will cause a lean backfire through the intake - a low pop sound. Check the fuel pressure with a gauge - change the filter.
