replace battery in car after original battery dying. Battery terminals were corroded replace battery now - light semi flicker. car will not start. Help!

Pull positive cable back off of the battery for a few minute,s,make sure the key is not in truck,then put key in igintion to the on position and replace battery cable,should crank.

ok followed above directions and now engine is clicking when I turn the key. But nothing else. Any more suggestions? Thank you for help so far
If it is only clicking,check the battery,sound,s like it may be weak,or bad connection,at termanal,s.

obviously I am a girl asking these questions! How would I check the terminals to make sure connection is good besides pulling everything off and starting over
