Replacement remotes can be purchased via the web. The hardware store two blocks from my house sells them. They're everywhere. If the actuator for the ductwork is broken plan on spending big bucks. Same happened on my 03 explorer. Fortunately I live way down south. Being stuck on AC is a good thing. The cool temps down here are tolerable with a coat inside the car.
