Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Got P1776 & P0700 code today
My son said engine light & oil light came on, then RPM raced, then he could
not accelerate past 50 mph.
Mileage 170,000, has a rebuilt transmission
Car was recently worked on, engine was cleaned,
there appears to be a leak at oil cap with oil splattering
on engine. Could that trigger sensors?

1 Answer

I recently had the same problem and am looking for a fix. The problem stopped after turning the car on and off, but the check engine light remains on.
