it could be 1 or 2 things, either your turbo is about to take a dump on you, or the planetaries in the transmission for 1st and 3rd gear are worn. to start with, try removing your airbox, you should have a good view of the turbine portion of your turbo. from there just look to see how the blades on the compressor side look.
