when you swapped the engine did you bring along the original ecm that came with that engine? if not this would most likely be the cause. either that or some one buggered up the engine but misplacing the firing order of the spark plug wires.
well each engine has its own ecm for a reason cause no two engines are exactly alike not to mention its also programed for that particular engine. Try disconnecting the battery for 15 -30 minutes and see if that fixes it. anything after that i would check the firing order for your engine and make sure the plugs are set correctly. Also check the plugs and wires and check for spark. Check your cam sensors as well its possible one is bad. did you get the engine from another dead car or one from a wrecking yard ? as it is possible you got an engine that had the timing fricked up.
I tried disconnected the battery no change it was still the same problem but I'll look into checking the cam sensors and spark plugs . The engine was from a car that was totaled but no damage to the engine.
well if you can't fix the issue see if you can't get the computer from the other car and try a swap it may or may not fix your issue if nothing else will. I am probably betting the fact the car it came from was totaled it more then likely could have damaged the engine from the shock of the impact it received in its wreck. let me know if you need any more help i am more then happy to provide more feed back if you require it.
