Hello! I am sorry to hear that you are having trouble. Audi cars
while German are very prone to breakdown once they reach a
certain age. They can be expensive to fix and without going to the
dealership (very expensive), a regular shop will have you running
back and forth to the bank while they try to pinpoint the problem.
How many miles are on the car? When was the timing belt last
replaced? Are there any fluids leaking underneath the engine
compartment. When it was stalling, were you driving at normal
speeds? Accelerating, or when you were attempting to start it?
Don't panic. The reason I am asking so many clarifications is that
it could be a number of issues, some very small, so we wouldn't
want to jump straight to the belt being broken because as you are
aware, once this occurs it can be a very expensive repair. I will
keep an eye on your thread and reply to your answer. Best of
luck!
