My 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee makes a grinding noice only when I turn the wheel sharply. Otherwise it drives fine.

if you have custom wheels it could be a tire rubbing the inside of the wheel well. or it also could be a wheel bearing so get it checked cuz you run the risk of a wheel fallng off!! (rarely) happends but it can.
