Engine shuts down while braking

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I had recently just replaced all the spark plugs, fuel circuit board, wire hardness, cam 3 fuel injector, and a tune up. Runs like a
champ now, but while braking the engine loses power and at times will cut off while braking or if you brake hard it'll lose power
and start to shut down. I'm thinking its a bad relay, possibly?

Second biggest issue, is the transmission... while driving it shifts hard, or doesn't shift, or if your stopped it'll jump and cause the
vehicle to jerk forward. Is it possible that it might just be the fluid, or something with overdrive / cruise messing it up? Any details
on both of these matters would help out a ton. Thanks!

I'm thinking a vacuum leak or something wrong with the brake booster causing the engine to shut down with braking. --- On the transmission, check the fluid level. Check the battery voltage when running. If both are good, take it to a transmission shop for servicing.

It is probably low on fluid in the transmission and, if it's an automatic, the torque converter as well. If the torque converter is low on fluid it can cause the vehicle to die at stops and, obviously, if the transmission is low on fluid it can cause your irratic shifts.

Battery has been replaced, its less then 2 months old and bought brand new. I will check up on the transmission fluid, and hoping its not a vacuum leak, many thanks guys..

Throttle position two screws and your done. Will cause it to die, lunge, & won’t shift.
