97 mark viii what could cause the front end to shimmy then when i hit the brakes they locked up on me

the shimmy could be from worn out parts,warped rotors,as for the brakes locking up,bad brake calapers or a problem with the ABS system

alos try lower control arm bushings had the same problem with my 97 bout 150 a side
