Have 95 pontiac gran am 4 cylinder will start and then shut off after spraying ether it will stay running as long as ether being sprayed Replaced fuel pump, fuel filter, fuel pressure regulator, cked cat converter, various other things any suggestions as running out of patience and money any suggestions??

Have cleared all fuel lines, replaced fuel pump, fuel pressure regulator,checked cat coverter,replaced all vaccum
lines,car will start but will only stay running while being sprayed with ether

This is a tough one. You've replaced everything that I would have suggested. It does fire with ether so it has to be fuel related. Could be low pressure or the injectors are not getting the signal to open. Head over to GAOwnerClub.com - there are a lot of people there with 2.4L experience.

TY Sweetie appreciate all your help cked injectors with tester getting fire but it is not making tester light flicker so think maybe computer may have gone thanks again for your answer car has me puzzled and dealers also!!!! Now I don't feel like a complete idiot (jut partically!!)

TY @ Tenspeed never went there went ahead and replaced computer and That also was bad amazing all this could be bad but at least she is running thanks for your suggestion!!!!!! I am so happy my 4 cylinder is a whole lot cheaper on gas than Z-28 Camaro Just thankful she is running~~~~~~
