96 grand am idles fine in park , runs rough in drive , why?

i would start by checking the motor mounts and dog bones. look at the engine when it's running and have someone power brake the car in drive and reverse.if the engine moves to much then it's prob a bad mount or dog bone. hope this helps. good luck to ya
