if timing chain broke would serpentine belt n pulleys move when trying to start?

There should be a crank pulley that drives the serpentine belt. So the belt would still turn even if the timing belt was broken.

your belt will tur the pulleys since it is connected to the crank , your valve train will not , open the oil fill cap & see if you can see the rocker arms moving up and down , if they don't move your timing chain or belt is broken.

If it's a four cylinder Ecotec, you don't want to spin the engine with a broken timing chain. It will bend the valves if they are not bent already. Remove the valve cover and you can see the chain on the passenger side,
