odds on your auto choke is knackered and not working properly that or one of the sensors is knackered for cold starts

Check fuse 37 in underhood fuse box should say for A/C. If this is blown car won't start when cold outside. If it is blown there is a problem with the A/C clutch circuit or A/C clutch. Unplug A/C clutch replace fuse see if car starts.

I have a 2004 Grand Am, and after reading this because my car was also not starting only in the cold. I found that fuse #37 was blown as well, changed it out and car starts right up. Now though if it drops below 40 to 35 degrees outside the car will start but will blow that same fuse. have had to change it 5 times in two months.

I traced my blown fuse 37 to the defrost/ac being turned on. I added freon to the AC and it stopped this problem. It hasn't blown since.

Having same problems. Put new battery new started redid the terminal ends of starter all fuses replaced, ignition switch wiring is in tact doesn’t crank at all, turn the key nothing happens yet have full accessories, but will fire right up when the sun hits
