I bought a 1999 Subaru Forseter L knowing it
needs an engine, what things will need changed
and will it run all the gear heated mirrors, etc

I would see how much rust is on the underneath at suspension points , there's all kinds of preventive maintenance parts you can go with , where do you plan on getting an engine from ?
