Will the trannies swap between an 01
Forester L and a 99 Forester S?  They're
automatics. Thank in advance!

Check the details on both , if im not mistaken there were two different trannies used.

    having an issue with my 2009 foresters transmission it shutters between 2nd and 3rd its an automatic .took it to a transmission place they said it needs to be replaced 97k .anyone else have an issue...
