Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have an 01 subaru forester that i swapped
the 2.5 for a 05 2.0. Everything bolted rite up
changed the flywheel and that was it. Then i
went to start it and it acts as if its way out of
time and will not start. Do i need to get a
ecm from a 2.0 car for it to run

1 Answer

Yes you do. No guarantees that your automatic transmission will work with the other ECM but hopefully it will.
