Subaru Legacy 04 - coolant tube replaced now check engine light on

Asked by GuruLCFBZ Apr 06, 2019 at 03:01 PM about the 2004 Subaru Legacy L 35th Anniversary Edition Wagon AWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Mechanic who sold car replaced the tube
from coolant reservoir (looked like the
hood was closed a few times on top of the
hood rest and caused a nick). Drove 10
minutes fine. Second time starting and
check engine light comes on along with
cruise light flashing. Drive 5 minutes no
change. Check under hood and the new
tube seems to be crimped some under
hood rest. I straighten and push below
hood rest stick so it doesn't get crimped.
Turn off car and back on and check engine
still on. Coolant level looks fine nothing
seems weird. It only took them 10 minutes
to replace the tube?

Drive 20 minutes home and still lights on
and no overheating. What is going on!!!!!

1 Answer

Autozone code was catalytic converter, but it was just replaced a month ago!! Same exact code so wouldn't think it's the other CaT?
