Why.. when my car heats up the
radiator overflows into the overflow
tank but does not return to the
radiator..i have replaced the water
pump, thermostat, radiator cap

You have to use the correct type radiator cap for one thing. If the cooling system has a leak it may not draw the water back into the system when it cools off.

Mine had a pin hole in the overflow tube that connects to the radiator and the top hose seemed to be dry rotted and seem to have belt tensioner issues with the crank shaft placement associated with the harmonic balancer and the awd was stuck in low cause of an exhaust leak by the front catalytic converter and was messing up with the O2 sensor and confusing the fuel combustion.
