Replaced the timing belt in my 2001 Outback at 105K miles. Now have 210K miles . Due again...according to Subaru. $$ If it breaks, is the engine toast?

Your engine is considered a Interfernce type engine , this means if the timing belt breaks it will damage your engine , I would bite the bullet and get the belt changed call around to the local repair shops and get some prices it is not that big a job I had mine done at 200,000 miles for about $700.00 which included the belt, water pump and the pullies good luck
