Sorry I didn't add detail earlier. This is my first time using this forum. This all started when one of my fans broke (it has two fans). I drove for several days with no overheating. I bought a new fan and found the broken blade dented some of the radiator so I changed that out too. After that the check engine light came on and about 5 miles down the road the "Engine Hot/AC off" signal came on the dash and the gauge was in the red. I pulled over and requested a tow. Later, I pulled the code p1258 which indicated that the Coolant Temp Sensor was bad. I purchased a new ECT but I cant find the location of it for the life of me. No where on the web can I find the location on a 2006 Impala SS (5.3l). Can anyone tell me where the ECT is located? Thanks.
