i drove my 1992 camry xle home going 60 mph and i realized i was driving in second. i shifted back to drive and the car shut off. it started right back up and went again, but no every time i come to a stop it stalls. also when i get to 3000 rpms it sounds like theres a rod knock. does anyone know why this is happening?

high RPM in second gear can overheat the motor also have your injectors clean.most likely your main bearings or push rods are making the knocking noise.
