Vehicle shakes after new rear drums and brake shoes were installed.

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I just had new brake shoes and drums installed on the rear wheels of my vehicle.  I
noticed when driving home that the rear of the vehicle vibrates/shakes a bit when
applying the brakes (I can feel it in the brake pedal as well).  Is this a normal part of the
break-in period, or should I be concerned that the job was not done right or defective
parts were used?  Thanks!

Car is a 1993 Camry with 213,000 miles.  Shaking occurs whether I'm coming to a
slow stop or quick stop.

Thanks, Tom. Any ideas what may cause something like that? As alluded to in the posted question, I didn't do the work so I don't know what to check. The shop that did the work is closed until Monday because of the Independence Day holiday weekend. I'm also wondering if it is safe to drive over the next few days. Thanks!

I did take it back and found that the drums needed to be smoothed...not sure "smoothed" is the right word, but they put them on something that rapidly rotated them and now the car drives great.
