1995 camry temperatur gauge

Question type: Maintenance & Repair
anyone know why the temperature gauge would read fully hot at all times. I've changed the gauge out, but the new one still reads full hot also. the sensor was replaced. Is there a relay possibly, or another sensor in line to the temperature gauge?
Thanks for any help on this one.

Aren't they resistance gauges? In which case a bad wire or faulty connection could be the problem. Electrical is not my forte so you'll prolley get a better answer soon. But New Gauge + New sensor and still no joy makes me think somethings wrong between the two.
Do you have an engine check light condition? If you have a V6, you're ODB-II (even though this didn't go into effect until the next year). Your computer should be reading a temp. mismatch and post a code.
Wish I could help, but I have the exact same problem. Please let me know if you have figured this one out. Thanks alot.
